I’m a photographer from the Washington, DC area and have been documenting the first year of Tribewanted’s work at John Obey, a small fishing village on the coast of Sierra Leone.  This has been a wonderful opportunity for me to observe the beginnings of a new community being built by adventurous tourists, or tribemembers.  Working alongside some 350 locals from John Obey, tribemembers have started building the first eco-community resort in the country using all local materials.
